Station Voice Now Available for Everquest II and Star Wars MMORPGs

Sony Online Entertainment announced on July 31st, 2008 that that Station Voice™, powered by Vivox® is now available in Everquest II® and Star Wars Galaxies™ at no additional cost to users. Station Voice™ enhances voice communication between players.
John Smedley, president of Sony Online Entertainment, explained, "In-game voice chat is an enhanced new feature gamers of all levels can enjoy. Now, SOE's players can easily talk to one another and better enjoy the online gaming experience. The integration of Station Voice into these initial games was seamless, and we look forward to incorporating this added gaming experience into other SOE titles, as well as implementing the next phase of features to come soon.

And here I remember when Star Wars "role playing games" involved a Darth Vader mask, walkie-talkies and two kids beating on each other with toy light sabers ... and we also walked uphill in the snow both ways to get to those RPGs.

- Chat with your party, guild, or any other group in game
- Manage group/user participation with moderator control
- Play and communicate without worrying about increased lag
- Individually mute and set volume per user
- Create automatic channels for guilds, raids and groups
