View all articles by Ariel PonywetherSpringfield's about to have a brand-new citizen join its ranks, but this one's special in an entirely different way; Ricardo Bomba was created by Peggy Black of Orange, CT, A Simpsons viewer who won a contest sponsored by Fox.
Black came up with the character of Bomba, nicknamed "La Bomba", when she realized that Springfield lacked a Cassanova character. Hers was one of over 25,000 entries received by Fox throughout the contest.
Bomba will make his debut in the January 31st edition of "The Simpsons".
