Isaiah Washington, late of Grey's Anatomy, has landed a new gig, while James Marsters continues to wax giggly at his Torchwood role. E! Online confirmed with Washington's publicist that the actor will be appearing in this fall's Bionic Woman remake on NBC. His role will last at least five episodes. He is also reportedly in development of an action series he pitched to the network; doubtful it is a related series, but stranger things have happened.
On the Torchwood side of life, James Marters continues to chat up his appearance in the first episode od the second series. He told BBC News that: "I can't say too much about him, except he is naughty and a bit of a psychopath. I am a huge fan of Doctor Who and Torchwood so it was me who knocked on their door.
" John Barrowman is just as excited, and told the Chicago Tribune: "There’s a scene between he and Jack when they first meet, all I'll say is, this scene is so hot, so horny, so violent, that all the fans who watch it are going to .... " (Sadly, the rest of the quote was unprintable on their site. Firefox News would be happy to print any and all swearing Mr. Barrowman might like to send our way.)
Finally, for those fans whose tastes also run to the crime-drama corner of television, actress Alicia Wit is set to join the cast of NBC's Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Witt will play Detective Nola Falacci, replacing Julianna Nicholson while Nicholson is on maternity leave. Witt was a regular on CBS series Cybill, and starred in "Urban Legend." Those of us who are me, however, remember her best as Paul Atreides' little sister Alia from the original "Dune" epic.
