Ozymandias has been cast for "Watchmen." According to IESB, the role is not going to Jude Law after all, but Matthew Goode. Joining him are Billy Crudup as Dr. Manhatton, Patrick Wilson as The Night Owl, Malin Ackerman as Silk Spectre, Jeffrey Dean Morgan as The Comedian, and Jackie Earle Haley as Rorschach. The official announcement is expected this weekend at ComicCon.
The film is due out next year. ETA: Both the Hollywood Reporter and Variety have since confirmed these casting announcements.
"Watchmen" was a landmark comic series written by Alan Moore and illustrated by Dave Gibbons. Set in an alternate 1980's, superheroes are banned by law and someone is hunting them down one by one. (Think of it like "The Incredibles" only more for grownups and fewer floating naked babies.)
