Actor Dean Cain, who rose to fame wearing a certain pair of blue tights, will be guest-starring on Smallville, Variety reports. Cain will appear in the fourth episode of the seventh season playing the villianous Dr. Curtis Knox.
The actor has appeared in many things, but is best known for his role as Clark Kent in Lois and Clark: The New Adventures of Superman, the quirky romantic comedy / action / drama in the 1990's that also starred Desperate Housewife Teri Hatcher.
In other genre television news, New Amsterdam will air in January instead of September. The series about Yet Another Immortal Detective will show on Fridays at 9 EST on FOX. Taking its place for now will be Don't Forget the Lyrics, which features Wayne Brady leading a large karaoke contest. (Sort of.) Given FOX's track record with genre media, there's a chance that the delay will in fact benefit the new show.
